The Carbon Fiber Salmon Ladder pole is much lighter at only 2 pounds! This option however is a bit more expensive and does have some limitations but is ideal for kids because it too will not bend over time and is easy for kids to handle.
We only offer the carbon fiber pole option in 5ft lengths and we only recommend that it be used on plastic salmon ladders by kids indoors. Putting too much weight on this pole, using it with metal rungs or leaving it outside in the elements will make the fibers start to fray and it will need to be replaced.
